About 50th Parallel Estate Winery
50th Parallel Estate began with Curtis Krouzel and Sheri-Lee Turner-Krouzel's search for a site suited to Pinot Noir in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. They hand-planted their first vines in 2009 on a steep, rocky Lake Country property above Okanagan Lake. The estate name refers to its northern latitude, while Curtis's engineering background helped shape both the planting approach and the winery.
Pinot Noir remains the centre of the range, alongside white, rosé and traditional-method sparkling wines. A gravity-flow cellar is designed to move fruit and wine efficiently with gentler handling. The In Parallel series uses selected Pacific Northwest fruit.
