Now fully mature, with a tawny-red colour and a layered nose of dried fig, currant, burnt toffee, coffee, cedar and warm baking spice. The palate is refined and gently sweet, with mellow wood tones, delicate acidity and a smooth, lingering finish. Fruit from a tiny parcel of ungrafted vines gives this rare Port its singular identity. Stand upright before opening, decant carefully for sediment and serve in small pours with blue cheese or walnuts.
