Villa Sandi Il Fresco Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut NV
$28.99
Ripe golden apple and small mountain flowers appear over a dry, fresh and flavoursome palate. The pale straw colour carries fine, persistent bubbles, followed by a fruity, harmonious aftertaste. Whole grapes are softly pressed before controlled-temperature tank fermentation. About Villa Sandi
The Moretti Polegato family’s winegrowing story began in the early 1920s, when Mario Polegato bought vineyards. In the late 1970s, the family acquired and restored Villa Sandi, a Palladian-style villa built in 1622, as its winery headquarters. The underground galleries were later adapted for traditional-method sparkling wine.
Giancarlo, his wife Augusta and their children Diva and Leonardo continue the family business, whose estates span Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. Its Prosecco vineyards include Treviso, Asolo and the steep hills of Valdobbiadene.
