Ripe cherry, raspberry and plum are layered with dried rose, mint, liquorice, tar and warm spice. The palate is full and finely textured, its mature fruit carried by fresh acidity, silky tannins and a persistent mineral line. Oak has settled into a quiet nutty note, leaving the perfume clear and detailed. Decant gently and serve with roast veal, truffle dishes, braised beef or aged Parmigiano.

About Gaja
Gaja began in Barbaresco in 1859 with Giovanni Gaja and continues through the family's fifth generation. Angelo and Lucia Gaja work alongside their children Gaia, Rossana and Giovanni, who have taken on regular tasting and decision-making responsibilities while Angelo remains involved in viticulture. From its Piedmont base, the family expanded to Pieve Santa Restituta in Montalcino, Ca'Marcanda in Bolgheri and the Idda partnership on Mount Etna. Across those distinct estates, long family memory is paired with experimentation in varieties, vineyards and responses to climate.
