About Cantine Giacomo Montresor
Montresor's story in Verona begins in 1892, when Giacomo Montresor founded the house after a branch of his family had settled in the Veneto generations earlier. The house introduced its curved bottle in 1904. The frosted finish followed in 1921, developed to protect wine from sunlight during ocean transport. The post-war decades brought sparkling-wine production and growing exports, including shipments to Canada in 1952 and a Quebec listing in 1969. Today the range includes wines from Valpolicella and Soave.
