Dorrance Wines 2023 Cinsault

$33.99

Violet, spice and purple-fruit notes sit in a medium- to full-bodied Cinsault with fine texture, firm but approachable tannins and a fresh, lingering finish. The grapes were left as whole bunches, without crushing or destemming, and fermented in open tanks. Seventy percent matured in stainless steel and thirty percent in old French oak; sulphur was the only addition.

About Dorrance Wines
French-born winemaker Christophe Durand started Dorrance Wines in 2000, five years after arriving in South Africa. He and Sabrina Durand own the winery, whose cellar and tasting room have occupied Heritage Square in central Cape Town since 2014. Grapes from Cape vineyards are made into wine and matured in the city. Cellar choices include old French oak and stainless steel, with methods adapted to the different wines.
