Dried black cherry and plum lead, with tobacco, leather, grilled herbs, clove and espresso adding layered savoury depth. The palate is full-bodied and composed, carrying concentrated fruit through lively acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins. Powerful yet graceful through the long finish, it suits braised beef, wild mushroom ragù, roast lamb or mature pecorino.

About Argiano
Argiano's history in Montalcino is recorded as early as 813. The Pecci family built Villa Bellaria, its Renaissance villa, between 1581 and 1596. Argiano became a founding member of the Consorzio del Brunello in 1967.
The property occupies a plateau around 350 metres above sea level on Montalcino's southwestern slope, where calcareous marl and marine deposits underpin a large Sangiovese planting. A soil study begun in 2013 guides how individual vineyard plots are farmed, with their fruit made into wine separately. Vineyard work includes green manure and beneficial insects, while winemaking follows a minimal-intervention approach.
