Cencibel is harvested in small boxes from a south-facing vineyard in Malagón. Cold maceration lasts three days, while maturation takes place for twelve months in French and American oak. Blackberry and blueberry appear with liquorice, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, toast and incense. The palate has ripe red fruit, acidity and body, with long, velvety persistence and roasted notes.

About Bodegas Arzuaga
Florentino Arzuaga began Bodegas Arzuaga in the early 1990s after buying the La Planta estate near Quintanilla de Onésimo and setting about planting vines and building a winery. The estate lies in Ribera del Duero, between Aranda de Duero and Valladolid.
Around the winery and La Planta, about 210 hectares of vines are planted chiefly to Tinto Fino, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The family also makes wine from its vineyard at Malagón in Ciudad Real.
