The palate is layered and savoury, combining hay, chalk and a quiet earthy note from flor with mouthwatering salinity. About Callejuela
After two decades working in local vineyards, Francisco Blanco Martínez established his small Sanlúcar cellar in 1980. His sons José and Francisco later created Callejuela, bringing grape growing, winemaking and bottling together in the family business.
Their Palomino vineyards lie on the chalky albariza soils of Sanlúcar and Jerez, including sites at Callejuela, Hornillo, Añina and Macharnudo. The range extends from unfortified white wines to Manzanilla aged beneath a veil of yeast and Amontillado shaped by time and exposure to air.
