Red berries and cherries appear with herbal tea, dried flowers, earth and blood orange. Fresh minerality, spice and vertical tannins are also present. Nerello Mascalese grows between six hundred and seven hundred metres on Etna’s north-eastern slope. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in cement with thirty days of maceration, and the wine matures for eighteen months in cement.
