About Maria Caterina Dei
The Dei family's modern wine story began in 1964, when Alibrando Dei planted the Bossona vineyard outside Montepulciano. The estate produced its first bottle in 1985, and Maria Caterina Dei took the lead in the 1990s.
Five vineyard sites are studied and worked according to their individual soils and exposures. Her father, Glauco Dei, conceived a circular cellar built from local travertine, drawing on the family's stone-working heritage.
