The winery is family-owned and operated on Salt Spring Island, where its estate vineyard was established after more than two decades of research into varieties suited to the region. About Vivezza Vineyard
Paul and Corinna Troop planted Vivezza Vineyard on Salt Spring Island in 2019 and opened their family winery in 2022. The planting drew on more than twenty years of research into grapes suited to the coastal climate, alongside Paul’s earlier work in the island wine industry.
Disease-resistant varieties are a particular focus, selected for flavour and the prospect of less spraying in this climate. The winery also makes a Traditional Series from established vineyards of vinifera grapes on Salt Spring and Vancouver Islands.
