Albino Rocca 2022 Barbaresco Cottà DOCG

Garnet colour accompanies violet, red rose, peony, cherry liqueur, bitter cocoa, liquorice, rhubarb, incense and cigar-box notes. Balsamic and spicy details are also present. The palate is fresh and balanced, with savoury tones and velvety tannins. The aftertaste is persistent. The wine is made entirely from Nebbiolo grown at Cottà in Neive. Maturation lasts about twenty months in oak, with further time in bottle.

About Albino Rocca
Albino Rocca carries four generations of family winemaking in Barbaresco, with vineyard experience reaching into the nineteenth century and a dedicated winery taking shape in the 1950s. Angelo Rocca’s daughters, Daniela, Monica and Paola, now guide the estate with Carlo Castellengo.
The vineyards extend across Barbaresco, Neive and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio, with Nebbiolo at the centre of a range that also includes Barbera, Dolcetto, Cortese, Chardonnay and Moscato. The estate matures its Barbaresco in large oak casks.
