Las Moradas de San Martín 2019 Senda Garnacha 1.5 L

Old bush vines grow on granitic, sandy-loam soils. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted on a table. Fermentation uses indigenous yeasts, and maturation lasts ten months in five-hundred-litre French oak. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration. Cherry colour accompanies floral notes, plum, scrubland and mineral character. The profile is fresh, lively and aromatic, with a long finish.

About Las Moradas de San Martín
Las Moradas de San Martín began in 1999 in Madrid's reaches of Sierra de Gredos, driven by the recovery of old Garnacha vineyards. The estate traces Garnacha growing around San Martín de Valdeiglesias back to the twelfth century. Its name also nods to Saint Teresa's Las Moradas and to the literary history surrounding the wines of San Martín.
At La Centenera, old, dry-farmed vines grow in high, wind-exposed ground of granite, sand and rock. Garnacha leads the reds and Albillo Real the whites; the wines are organic, and all grapes are harvested by hand.
