Hazy cherry colour accompanies tart cherry, olive tapenade, forest moss, cherry blossom and pomegranate. The Pinot Noir comes from a dry-farmed, north-facing slope in Taylor Pass, planted on low-vigour clay. Half the fruit fermented as whole clusters, with the balance destemmed and crushed. Natural fermentation lasted fifteen days before twelve months in low-toast French oak and three months in tank.
