Cortes Island apples harvested from Blue Jay Lake Farm give this wild-fermented cider a distinctly local orchard character. The style is dry and naturally expressive, with fresh apple flavour, brisk acidity and a gently rustic edge shaped by ancestral fermentation. Light sparkle keeps the palate lively and clean without masking the fruit. Serve chilled with grilled sausages, roast chicken, firm cheese or a simple plate of local charcuterie.

About Wildflower Produce and Cidery
Sara Stewart began farming at Reef Point on Cortes Island in 2020, building the regenerative market garden that became Wildflower Produce and Cidery. An underused orchard, with ravens helping themselves to the fruit, prompted her to start making cider.
She makes small batches from apples grown at Reef Point, elsewhere on Cortes and on neighbouring Quadra Island. Fresh juice ferments in tank with yeasts naturally present on the fruit and in the cidery. Permaculture principles guide the farm, with seasonal ingredients helping shape the cider range.
