Dark chocolate and plum preserve open the nose, with redcurrant adding brightness around a core of warm oak spice. The palate brings together ripe Highland fruit and a measured thread of Islay smoke, giving the whisky both richness and lift. Oloroso-seasoned wood and red-wine casks deepen the fruit without obscuring the malt, while bourbon casks keep the texture poised. The finish is warming and gently smoky, carrying cocoa, dark berries and spice. Serve neat or add water gradually.
