Red cherry, pomegranate and wild strawberry open into rose petal, dried herbs and earthy spice. The palate is medium-bodied and savoury, with bright acidity, silky yet persistent tannins and a fine thread of sea-salt minerality. Sun-dried tomato and wild thyme carry through the long finish. Decant briefly and serve with grilled lamb, tomato-based pasta or roasted vegetables.

About Antonio Scala
The Scala family is one of Calabria’s finest estates. The domaine has been in the Scala family since 1949. Today it is run by Luigi and Francesco Scala who focus entirely on organically grown, indigenous varieties. They have 18 hectares in the Cirò DOC dedicated to Gaglioppo, Greco and Magliocco.
