Twin Island Hedgerow Cider 500ml

Native fermentation and a period on blackberries, currants and haskap berries give this dry cider a vivid, rose-hued character. Tart red and dark fruit runs through a base of heritage and traditional cider apples, bringing juicy freshness alongside a lightly rustic orchard edge. The finish is brisk, savoury and clean, with enough structure for the table. Serve lightly chilled with roast duck, pork terrine, washed-rind cheese or mushroom dishes.

About Twin Island Cider
In 2016, cidermakers Matthew Vasilev and Katie Selbee partnered with Sandra MacPherson and Noel Hall to create Twin Island Cider on South Pender Island. Early basket-press batches with family and friends grew into a year-round cidery.
The team tends old orchards on Pender and neighbouring Gulf Islands, harvesting fruit from dozens of century-old plantings. Apples and pears are pressed on the island and fermented only with native yeasts. The range includes perry, made from pears, and naturally sparkling pétillant-naturel bottlings.
