Rose, violet and hibiscus frame dark cherry and raspberry on a finely layered nose. The palate is calm and linear, with fresh cherry, liquorice and mineral notes unfolding over firm, classical tannins. Sweet spice and savoury earth add depth without blurring the wine’s clarity. Full-bodied yet poised, it carries notable energy through a long, persistent finish. Decant generously and serve with braised beef, truffle dishes or aged hard cheese.

About Cavallotto
Giacomo Cavallotto acquired the Boschis property in 1928, establishing the family at a site with a much older vineyard history. His grandsons Olivio and Gildo began making wine from all the estate’s grapes in 1946, and the first Cavallotto-labelled Barolo was bottled in 1948. Alfio, Giuseppe and Laura Cavallotto now guide the estate as the fourth generation.
Native cover crops were introduced in the 1970s, followed by predatory mites in 1976 to control vineyard pests. The cellar uses native yeasts and long periods of skin contact, with cement tanks and large Slavonian oak casks.
