AboutViña Undurraga

Francisco Undurraga Vicuña founded Viña Undurraga at Talagante in 1885 after importing European vine material and planning the estate over several years. The first harvest came in 1891, and the first shipment to the United States followed in 1903.

The winery makes Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Carignan from several Chilean regions. Its T.H. range—short for Terroir Hunter—focuses on individual growing sites.

Viña Undurraga 2022 Sibaris Carménère Gran Reserva

Chilean Red
$27.99
Plum and savoury notes lead the profile, followed by lush dark fruit and a spicy, peppery undercurrent. Smoked bay leaf and pipe tobacco add further detail. The tannins are fully dispersed, while sweet fruit balances a final green note. Made from Carménère in Chile's Colchagua Valley, the wine carries fourteen percent alcohol and suits empanadas, beef tacos or other savoury dishes.

Undurraga 2024 T.H. Sauvignon Blanc Leyda

Chilean White
$43.99
Lime and grapefruit lead, joined by cassis leaf, fennel and a subtle green-pepper note. The palate is fresh and concentrated, with clear acidity, restrained fruit and a fine mineral line giving the wine precision. A faint gunflint accent carries through the long, complex finish, making this cool-climate Chilean white a strong partner for oysters, ceviche or simply grilled fish.
