Resurrection Spirits distils in small batches in East Vancouver’s industrial district, at the north end of Commercial Drive. It works with British Columbia rye, including grain from the Peace River region for its vodka. Alongside vodka, the distillery makes gin, rye whisky and herbal liqueur. Botanicals shape the gin, while the whisky matures in oak.

British Columbia rye gives a silky, lightly spiced profile with a subtle natural sweetness. Soft oak and dried stone fruit lead the nose, followed by caramel, marzipan and a restrained wisp of smoke on the palate. Chill filtration keeps the texture polished and clear, while black pepper and grain spice bring definition to a long finish. Serve well chilled, pour neat with a small plate of smoked fish, or use in a classic Martini where the rye character can remain present.
