AboutPrieuré de Montézargues
Prieuré de Montézargues is a Tavel estate with monastic origins reaching back to the twelfth century and a surviving winegrowing record from 1199. The Richard family bought the estate in 2003. Its vineyard forms a single block of roughly 33 hectares, with sandy, well-drained soils scattered with rounded stones. Organic farming, hand harvesting and careful pressing shape the work behind its Tavel rosé.
Prieuré de Montézargues 2023 Tavel Rosé
Bright pink with red-cherry highlights, opening on yellow peach, redcurrant and blood orange. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with ripe cherry and peach gaining depth from almond, pastry cream and a light liquorice note. Citrus keeps the generous texture fresh and defined. It finishes long and elegant, carrying cherry stone, orange and peach through a polished, gently savoury close.
