Masi
Masi
Masi traces its wine history to 1772, when the Boscaini family recorded its first harvest at Vaio dei Masi in Valpolicella Classica. The house has built its work around native Venetian grapes and appassimento, drying selected fruit before fermentation to concentrate it naturally. Campofiorin applies a related double-fermentation method, while Levarìe, Bonacosta, Angelorum, Mazzano and Costasera span Soave, Valpolicella, Recioto and Amarone. A dedicated technical group links those regional traditions with ongoing vineyard and cellar research.
Masi 2024 Bonacosta Valpolicella Classico 375 mL
Ripe cherry and sweet spice define this fresh, supple red. Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara create a lively balance of fruit and acidity, with soft, silky tannins carrying the palate into a clean, savoury finish. The convenient half-bottle is well suited to a smaller meal or relaxed dinner. Pair with pasta, risotto, roasted meat, grilled vegetables or medium-aged cheese.
Masi 2014 Campofiorin Rosso del Veronese IGT
Fresh berry fruit is joined by dried fruit, herbs and developed savoury notes. The palate is broad and firmly structured, with a long finish. Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara form the blend. Production uses double fermentation: a young base wine is refermented with partially dried grapes. The resulting red retains fresh fruit alongside the fuller profile associated with the appassimento method.
Masi 1998 Riserva Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Cooked cherry, baked plum and super-ripe dark fruit lead an intense, mature bouquet. Cinnamon, vanilla and clove add sweet spice, while a subtle dried-herb note brings balance. The palate is warm and satisfying, with concentrated fruit framed by firm structure and measured freshness. Dry and persistent, it closes with cherry, spice, cocoa and a long savoury finish.
Masi Mazzano 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Baked black cherry, dark plum and fig lead a powerful, mature bouquet. Wild berry compote, dried herbs and leather add savoury breadth, while mocha, dark chocolate and warm spice bring richness. The palate is full and structured, its concentrated fruit carried by firm tannins and balancing acidity. Long and warming, it closes with bitter cherry, cocoa, pine and a measured herbal edge.
Masi Angelorum Recioto della Valpolicella Classico
Cooked cherry and preserved red fruit lead an intense, deeply coloured profile, with sweet spice and a subtle balsamic edge adding complexity. The palate is rich and generous, balancing natural sweetness with lively acidity and soft tannins. Ripe cherry carries through the long, persistent finish. Pair with blue cheese, fruit tart or traditional panettone.
Masi 2022 Levarie Soave Classico
Wisteria and other floral notes lead into ripe pear and banana, giving the nose a fragrant, open character. The palate is strikingly fresh yet carries enough weight and structure to feel complete, with balanced fruit and a dry, refreshing finish. Serve well chilled with antipasti, grilled white fish, risotto, roast chicken, young cheeses or simply dressed spring vegetables.
