AboutLeiper's Fork Distillery
Leiper’s Fork Distillery grew from Lee Kennedy’s campaign to bring legal small-scale whiskey production back to Williamson County, Tennessee. He spent three years helping amend local law, then founded the distillery in 2016. Production is around 25,000 gallons a year, with mashing, fermentation, distillation, ageing and bottling all done on site.
The whiskey is made with local non-GMO grain and limestone-filtered water, distilled in copper pots and put into barrels at a low alcohol strength. Wheat is part of the bottled-in-bond bourbon recipe; the Tennessee whiskey uses rye instead and is filtered through sugar-maple charcoal.

Milk chocolate, roasted coffee, ripe plum, dark cherry and honey lead the nose. The palate brings caramel, red berries and baking spice over a full-bodied frame, with toasted barley and oak adding depth. A 70% corn, 15% rye and 15% malted-barley recipe gives this Tennessee whiskey more spice than the distillery’s wheated bourbon, while sugar-maple charcoal mellowing rounds the edges. Bottled at 100 proof, it finishes warm, structured and persistent.

Brown sugar and lightly charred oak lead a warm, focused nose. The palate is velvety, with vanilla and butterscotch layered over dried dark fruit, maple and dried citrus. A wheated mash bill brings softness through the centre, while toasted malt and new American oak provide structure. Bottled at 100 proof, it carries its weight with balance rather than heat. The finish is long, gently herbal and framed by sweet oak.
