Jura’s island distillery was established in 1810, closed in 1901 and returned to production after a rebuild in 1963. The beachside distillery draws its water from Market Loch and uses exceptionally tall stills. For its Seven Wood bottling, whisky starts in ex-bourbon casks before being divided among six types of French-oak cask.
