AboutHester Creek

Hester Creek’s Golden Mile Bench story began when Joe Busnardo bought the property in 1967 and planted European wine grapes the following year. Original Pinot Blanc, Trebbiano, Merlot and Cabernet Franc vines remain among the estate’s later plantings. Curt Garland acquired the winery in 2004 and invested in its vineyards and cellar.

Mark Hopley joined the winemaking team in 2013. After the 2024 Okanagan freeze, its Columbia Valley collection used Washington grapes for one vintage.

Hester Creek 2025 Pinot Blanc

Canadian White
$29.99

Subtle aromas of wet stone and light flowers introduce this clean Pinot Blanc. The palate is round. The bottling carries British Columbia VQA Okanagan Valley designation. Hester Creek’s estate roots trace to vines first planted in alluvial soils, and Pinot Blanc remains one of the established white varieties grown at the property. The estate is based in Oliver, British Columbia.

Hester Creek 2025 Cabernet Franc Rosé

Canadian Rosé
$29.99

Pink grapefruit, strawberry, cranberry and rhubarb meet cinnamon in this off-dry Cabernet Franc rosé. The palate is juicy and bright, with glycerol-lined texture, lively acidity and medium body. A two-day cold soak and gentle pressing draw its medium-pink colour, while cool stainless-steel fermentation preserves freshness. The wine comes from the Okanagan Valley and is well suited to charcuterie or blue cheese.

Hester Creek 2024 Columbia Valley Meritage

American Red

Blackberry, Lapin cherry, cassis, cedar and vanilla define the profile, with full tannins and a long finish. The blend combines sixty-two percent Cabernet Sauvignon, twenty-two percent Merlot, eight percent Malbec and eight percent Cabernet Franc. Fruit came from Red Mountain in Columbia Valley. Individual lots were cold-soaked and fermented before eight months in French and American oak.
