Génot-Boulanger 2021 Mercurey Premier Cru En Sazenay
Round, cushioned red fruit includes strawberry, with fine texture and intensity through the middle of the palate. Pinot Noir grows on an east-facing, 1.81-hectare slope with predominantly clay-limestone soil. Grapes are harvested by hand and fully destemmed. Native yeasts are used during a two-to-three-week vatting period. Maturation lasts twelve months in oak and six months in stainless steel, and the wine is not filtered.
Génot-Boulanger 2021 Meursault Clos du Cromin
Fennel appears with light reduction, while the palate is balanced, lightly spiced, and marked by sour lemon and orange rind. Depth and tenderness accompany a finish of moderate length. The Chardonnay is hand harvested, crushed and whole-bunch pressed. Fermentation takes place in oak after light settling. Maturation lasts twelve months in oak and six months in stainless steel; the wine is not filtered.
Domaine Génot-Boulanger 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru
Wild blackberry and black cherry meet plum, undergrowth and a light touch of spice. The palate is medium-bodied and concentrated, with grainy tannins, fresh acidity and fine weight giving the dark fruit clear structure. A restrained earthy note adds savoury depth before the persistent finish. Decant for an hour and serve with duck, goose, venison or mushroom dishes.
