AboutElephant Gin
Elephant Gin was inspired by its founders’ travels through Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, and by gin and tonics shared at sundown. Its fourteen-botanical gin recipe combines selected African plants with fresh apples from orchards near the distillery. Its handwritten labels name historic tuskers or elephants supported by the producer’s conservation partners.
The producer pledges the greater of 15 percent of bottle profits or 2 percent of revenue to African elephant conservation. Its Elephant Gin Foundation supports wildlife and habitat projects.
Elephant London Dry Gin 750 mL
Subtle juniper and mountain pine lead an herbaceous nose, followed by fresh apple and a distinctive set of African botanicals. Baobab, buchu, devil’s claw and African wormwood add floral, earthy and lightly bitter detail, while the palate remains strikingly smooth. Fruit, spice and green herbs unfold in measured layers rather than competing for attention. The finish is clean and aromatic, with juniper, pine and soft spice lingering. Serve with tonic or use in a crisp, botanical Martini.
Elephant Sloe Gin 750 mL
Wild sloe berries bring a warm red colour and a rounded, fruit-led character, with the base gin’s juniper and spice providing a clear backbone. The berries are macerated for several months, building depth while a restrained level of sugar keeps the balance lightly sweet rather than syrupy. Jammy fruit, cinnamon and pine lead into a gently tart palate, followed by a long finish where ripe berry notes fade into soft spice. Serve neat, over ice or with sparkling wine.
