AboutDomaine Martinelle

Corinna Faravel began building Domaine Martinelle in 2002, buying her first vineyards and creating a cellar in the hills between the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. Her 11.5 hectares occupy high, southeast-facing terraces, including a contiguous Ventoux vineyard and the enclosed Bramadou site in Beaumes de Venise. Limestone, clay, gypsum and iron-rich Triassic soils occur across the vineyards.

The estate was certified organic by Ecocert in 2015 after years of farming according to organic principles. Grapes are picked by hand, and cellar practices include destemming, gentle extraction and the use of concrete vessels.

Domaine Martinelle 2019 Ventoux Rouge

French Red
$41.99
Ripe strawberry and kirsch meet black pepper and a light sweep of southern herbs. Grenache leads the 2019 blend, supported by Syrah, Cinsault and old-vine Carignan; fermentation and a short élevage in concrete keep the texture supple and the fruit clear. Juicy, balanced and gently spiced, it suits grilled lamb, sausages or vegetable stew.

Domaine Martinelle 2022 Dentelles Ventoux

French Red
$41.99
Ripe black and red fruit appears with garrigue and sweet spice. The style is lighter and refreshing, with acidity. The blend contains seventy percent Mourvèdre, twenty percent Grenache and ten percent Syrah from organically farmed, southeast-facing terraces on clay-limestone soils. Grapes are harvested by hand and the wine matures in concrete vats. The vineyards sit at higher altitude behind the Dentelles de Montmirail.
