AboutDomaine Jean-Michel Dupré
Jean-Michel Dupré began with two hectares inherited from his family and gradually transformed their mixed farm into a dedicated wine estate. Based in southern Beaujolais, he now works roughly fourteen hectares, with Morgon and Régnié central to the domaine. Old parcels are central to his work, including vines that have crossed the century mark.
Domaine Jean-Michel Dupré 2023 Grands Cras Morgon
Cherry cola, red raspberry, red cherry and hibiscus appear with graphite and pencil shavings. Kirsch, liquorice and peppery flavours accompany a deep, fleshy texture. Gamay comes from roughly fifty-five-year-old vines rooted in clay at about 350 metres, with southeast exposure. The fruit was hand harvested and sorted, then received a ten-day whole-cluster maceration without added sulphur dioxide. Maturation lasted six to ten months in cement tanks.
Domaine Jean-Michel Dupré 2024 Bourgogne Blanc Les 7 Pièces
Citrus and honey open a palate that is both rich and refreshing. A year in small barrels adds gentle breadth and a subtle toasted edge without masking the fruit. Fresh acidity keeps the texture poised, while a faint mineral note and clean, lightly savoury finish bring balance and definition.
Domaine Jean-Michel Dupré 2020 Morgon Côte du Py
A lively Morgon with wild strawberry and raspberry, accented by white pepper, agave and dried herbs. The fresh, medium-bodied palate is framed by silky, polished tannins that coat without weighing down the fruit. Juicy and vibrant through the finish, it leaves a savoury herbal note and suits charcuterie, roast poultry, grilled pork or mushrooms.
