Boschendal 2019 The Pavillion Chenin Blanc
Citrus and guava lead this dry, medium-bodied Chenin Blanc, with subtle waxy notes adding texture and depth. The palate is elegant and well balanced, combining a generous mouthfeel with crisp acidity and a clean, fruit-driven finish. Serve chilled with shellfish, grilled white fish, roast chicken, fresh salads or dishes carrying a gentle touch of spice.
Boschendal 2018 The Pavillion Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark red fruit and toasted vanilla accompany a soft, balanced palate with a juicy dark-berry centre. Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon form the blend from South Africa’s Western Cape. The grapes are hand picked and sorted before the varieties ferment separately in stainless steel for six to fifteen days. Thirty percent matures in French oak hogsheads, while the remainder stays unoaked.
Boschendal 1685 Chardonnay 2016
Bright lemon curd, stones, green apple, wood spice and citrus shape the profile. Whole bunches are pressed and cold-settled for two days. Fermentation takes place in thirty percent stainless steel and seventy percent French oak, twelve percent of it new. The wine spends ten months on primary lees with regular bâtonnage. Creaminess appears with lemon and stone character, freshness and a warming finish.
Boschendal 2016 Lanoy Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot
Bright mulberry and blackcurrant lead, joined by ripe plum, tobacco leaf and gentle spice. The palate is rounded and generous, combining dark berry fruit with polished tannins and a savoury oak line. Balanced and approachable after time in bottle, it finishes with lingering fruit and spice, and pairs comfortably with roast beef, lamb, braised dishes or aged cheddar.
