J.J. Prüm 2005 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese
Peach, apricot, candied citrus, honey, flowers, smoke and slate minerality are present. Baked apple and vanilla appear on the palate alongside floral detail, vanilla cream and nut paste. Fermentative aromas are present. The finish is long, with spicy botrytis. The Riesling comes from slate sites in the Mosel. Concentration and an airy character are both present.
Battenfeld-Spanier 2019 Frauenberg GG Riesling
Herbs, mineral notes and yellow fruit form a dense profile with additional spice. The palate is generous and complete, with balance among fruit, acidity and substance. Delicate acidity is closely woven into the structure, and the expression is clear. This dry Riesling comes from the Frauenberg site in Rheinhessen and carries 12.5 percent alcohol.
Trimbach 2019 Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg
Clear, elegant aromas include concentrated bright fruit with light flinty and smoky notes. The wine is round, juicy, supple and silky, with delicate bitterness on the finish. Lemon, pear and apple accompany a stony, precise and balanced profile and a lingering finish. Riesling grows on granite terraces that face south beside the castle. The wine is dry, delicate and chiselled.
Domaine Weinbach 2022 Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg
Fresh orchard fruit, light floral notes and beeswax appear with crisp, vivid acidity. The wine is light-bodied and balanced, with minerality and a long finish. Riesling grows on the granite soils of Schlossberg. Alcohol is 14.5 percent. The grapes are biodynamically grown under Demeter certification. The golden-yellow wine also shows grapefruit, ripe pear, tobacco, lemon and saline notes.
Weingut Beurer 2023 Schilfsandstein Riesling
Clear straw yellow colour accompanies ripe pear, peach, vegetal notes and dill. The palate has gentle acidity, body and a medium-length saline mineral finish. Riesling grows on skeletal, lime-free sandstone in southeast-facing Stettener Häder parcels. The grapes are selectively hand harvested, then pressed and spontaneously fermented. Fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel before gentle filtration and light sulphuring.
Josmeyer 2022 Le Kottabe Riesling
Light green-yellow colour accompanies apple, citrus, floral, flint and mineral notes. The dry Riesling has fresh, juicy character, 12 percent alcohol, less than three grams per litre sugar and six grams per litre acidity. Forty-five-year-old vines grow in a dozen gravelly alluvial parcels. Hand-picked grapes ferment spontaneously in century-old casks and mature on fine lees for several months.
Forge Cellars 2020 Freese Dry Riesling
White pepper, apricot and saline detail appear in a dry Riesling. Fruit comes from Freese Vineyard on the east side of Seneca Lake at Lodi, where gentle slopes sit on loam with shale. Grapes were hand harvested, sorted and whole-cluster pressed. Indigenous-yeast fermentation took place in barrel. Residual sugar is 2.5 grams per litre, with 580 cases produced.
Forge Cellars 2020 Wagner Caywood East Dry Riesling
Apricot, quince and ripe peach accompany lemon peel and flinty mineral notes. The Riesling has concentration, fresh acidity and structure. Fruit comes from a high-elevation vineyard on shale soils east of Seneca Lake. The long, windswept site has a steep slope, reaches the crest and includes bands of gravelly soil. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in neutral barrel.
Coulter Wines 2022 C4 Eden Valley Riesling
Green apple, lime sorbet and wet limestone appear in a finely focused Riesling. The wine is linear and persistent, with racy acidity and a long, steely finish. Fruit comes from Eden Valley in South Australia, and the style is bone dry. The producer works with grower fruit and makes its wines in a former church at Uleybury in the Adelaide Hills.
Forge Cellars 2020 Peach Orchard Dry Riesling
Honeysuckle and orange blossom accompany white peach and mirabelle plum. Wet stone and lemon pith are also present in this dry Riesling. Fruit comes from the east side of Seneca Lake, on Howard gravelly silt loam. Grapes were hand harvested, sorted and whole-cluster pressed. Indigenous-yeast fermentation took place in barrel, with 3.6 grams per litre of residual sugar.
Borgogno 2022 Era Ora Langhe Riesling
Petrol, quince and roasted peach appear with soft floral notes in a bone-dry Riesling. Yellow stone fruit and bright acidity accompany a wet-stone finish. Lime, apricot, yellow plum, hawthorn and menthol add further detail. Fermentation takes place mainly in steel, with a smaller oak portion, followed by time on fine lees, in steel and in bottle.
Martin’s Lane 2023 Simes Vineyard Riesling
Apricot fruit sits with lemon and lime acidity in a light-bodied, off-dry Riesling. The finish is crystalline. Fruit comes from a cool, steep, north-facing East Kelowna vineyard on granite-based soils. After hand sorting, the juice receives twenty-four to forty-eight hours of cold maceration, then ferments in stainless steel and ceramic vessels before at least six months on lees.
Martin’s Lane 2022 Naramata Ranch Vineyard Riesling
Floral notes, sea salt, stone, mineral and lemon-lime detail accompany an opulent Riesling with freshness and texture. The own-rooted vines grow over red granite and granite bedrock on the Naramata Bench. After hand sorting, some berries remain whole for pressing without sulphur. Spontaneous fermentation and ageing take place in German oak casks. The finished wine carries 12.4 percent alcohol.
Stargazer 2024 Tasmania Riesling
Orange peel, musk and ginger accompany mandarin pith, grapefruit peel, quince and red apple skin. The Riesling has texture and focused acidity. Fruit comes from vines on their own roots in loam over limestone. Hand-harvested grapes receive brief skin contact before wild fermentation in stainless steel, followed by close to two months on lees with weekly stirring.
Stargazer 2024 Tupelo White Blend
Quince, rosewater, pear and spice accompany a delicate, perfumed white. The blend draws on Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewürztraminer grown in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. A small amount of residual sugar remains, while the finish is dry. Green apple joins the fruit and floral notes. The still wine carries thirteen percent alcohol and uses a screwcap closure.
Weingut Beurer 2022 Kieselsandstein Riesling
Spice and mineral notes accompany red apple, lime and grapefruit. Firm acidity and phenolic grip sit over a supple base, with density, depth and a tactile mineral finish. The dry Riesling is made from hand-harvested fruit, undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is bottled unfiltered. Organic and biodynamic farming is certified by Demeter, while the finished wine carries 12.5 percent alcohol.
Schloss Gobelsburg 2022 Ried Gaisberg 1ÖTW Riesling Kamptal DAC
Deep spice sits with delicate exotic fruit and passionfruit. The wine is juicy and textured, with clear fruit, earthy spice and mineral length. Riesling terraces occupy slaty paragneiss, amphibolite and mica, and some belong to the estate’s oldest vineyards. The dry white carries 13.5 percent alcohol. Its single-vineyard site extends across Kammern, Zöbing and Strass on the eastern edge of the Gföhler gneiss plate.
Orofino 2012 Home Vineyard Old Vines Riesling
Crisp lime and mineral notes accompany a slightly sweet entry and mouth-watering fruit. The finish is medium-plus in length. The technical figures record 12.5 percent alcohol, nine grams per litre of titratable acidity and twenty grams per litre of residual sugar. This was the first vintage in which the estate bottled its single-vineyard Rieslings separately.
Koerner 2022 Parish Vineyard Riesling
Parish Vineyard faces south in Watervale, with red clay over slate and vines planted more than a century ago. The fruit is hand-harvested and sorted, then crushed and destemmed before six hours on skins in the press. Natural fermentation uses ten percent ceramic amphora and ninety percent steel. The wine remains on fine lees in stainless steel for nine months and is bottled without fining or filtration.
Famille Hugel 2009 Riesling Jubilee
Straw-yellow colour accompanies ripe, bright fruit with mint, herbs and mineral-earthy notes. The wine has a soft aromatic character, a touch of toast and refreshing herbal flavour, together with minerality and a long, complex finish. Riesling comes from thirty-year-old vines in the Schoenenbourg vineyard at Riquewihr, where marl and clay lie over gypsum-rich subsoil. Alcohol is 13.55 percent.
Grosset 2021 Polish Hill Riesling
Lime juice, floral notes and intense lime-pith flavour appear with weight and power. Crisp, ultra-dry and lingering character also feature in this Riesling from the Polish Hill Vineyard in South Australia’s Clare Valley. The vineyard and winery are certified Organic and Biodynamic. Only free-run juice is used, and the finished wine is unfined and vegan.
Robert Weil 2021 Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Trocken VDP.Erste Lage
Grapefruit, lemon zest, peach skin and wild herbs accompany ripe yellow fruit. The dry Riesling is tight and crisp, with mineral character, a delicate bitter note, elegance and an extended finish. Fruit comes from the Kiedrich Turmberg site in Germany’s Rheingau region. The wine carries the VDP Erste Lage classification and was matured in large wooden casks.
Martin’s Lane 2022 Julius Pinot Noir Riesling Co-Ferment
Earth, cherry and spice accompany a fine, lively profile. This red co-ferments 90% Pinot Noir with 10% Riesling from two small Okanagan Valley blocks. Both varieties were harvested on the same day as whole clusters, followed by spontaneous carbonic fermentation and fifteen days of maceration. Five months in neutral Austrian oak completes the cellar work. The vineyard farming is Organic.
Tegernseerhof 2015 Ried Kaiserberg Riesling Beerenauslese
Golden in colour, with stone-fruit aromas and mineral hints. Residual sugar is 136.9 g/L and acidity is 7.6 g/L, with tension and balance on the palate. Made entirely from hand-picked Riesling, the wine was fermented spontaneously. This still, sweet expression carries 10.5% alcohol and comes from the Kaiserberg site in Dürnstein, within Austria’s Wachau region.

Crisp apple opens with a fresh, juicy feel, while fine bubbles bring lift and definition. Bright acidity is well integrated, keeping the palate lively without turning sharp. The fruit stays clear through the centre, supported by a light mineral edge and a clean, energetic texture. Long-lasting freshness shapes the finish, leaving apple, gentle Riesling spice and a precise sparkling impression.
Leitz Eins-Zwei-Zero Riesling
Fresh lime and citrus lead with bright clarity, followed by an unexpected touch of rhubarb and red apple. A clean mineral line gives the palate definition and keeps the fruit precise. The texture remains light and composed, with enough freshness to carry the flavours without feeling thin. It closes dry and long, leaving citrus, apple and a cool mineral impression.
Nikolaihof 2002 Riesling Vinothek
Flint, baked apple and fresh apple open with mint, lanolin and a distinctly herbal lift. The palate is taut, fresh and poised, showing remarkable liveliness within a deep, contemplative profile. A slender line of acidity keeps the texture vivid, while firm, lightly astringent structure adds definition. The finish is long, spicy and crystalline, carrying herbs, apple and mineral detail with refined persistence.
Trimbach 2019 Riesling Grand Cru Mandelberg
Ripe yellow fruit fills the nose and palate, generous and succulent without losing clarity. The texture is broad and mouth-filling, balanced by enough freshness to carry the ample body. Mineral tension and a firm, finely cut structure keep the fruit precise, while the finish is long and texturally complex. Serve with roasted fish, shellfish, white meats or dishes with gentle spice.
Ferdinand’s Saar Red Vermouth
Sour cherry, dark berries and red flowers lead a full, aromatic nose, with green walnut and savoury herbs adding depth. The palate is fruit-forward yet firmly structured, balancing Riesling freshness with plum, lingonberry and a distinctive walnut bitterness. Thyme, rosemary and warming spice build through the middle without obscuring the fruit. The finish is smooth, long and gently bitter. Serve lightly chilled over ice, or use it in a Martinez, Manhattan or richer Negroni variation.
