Nero di Troia

Mulberry, bright red fruit and forest notes meet a stony, saline mineral line. Nero di Troia grown over limestone near the Adriatic is fermented spontaneously in open steel with a short period on skins, then rests in steel. The palate is fresh and direct, with moderate weight, lively acidity and fine, granular tannin. Serve lightly cool with tomato-based pasta, grilled vegetables, sausages or roast pork.

Ripe wild red berries lead a layered, savoury bouquet, joined by leather, tobacco and warm spice. The palate is rich and complex, with balanced structure and fine-tuned tannins carrying the fruit through a long, composed finish. Serve with slow-cooked meat sauces, roast game or firm aged cheese.
