Menu Pineau
Peltier-Ravineau 2023 La Marnière Cheverny
Fresh, dry and juicy, the wine carries transparent fruit with the crispness of Loire Sauvignon Blanc. Honeyed apple adds gentle volume, while white peach and nectarine appear with air. Sauvignon Blanc and Menu Pineau grow on sandy soils. The blend is lively and floral, with citrus detail and a fresh finish. Six months in fibreglass tank follow direct pressing and cold settling.
Clos du Tue-Boeuf 2020 Tutti Frutti Rosé
An experimental field blend brings together Gamay, Pineau d’Aunis, Chenin, Menu Pineau and Meslier. The grapes come from a 0.3-hectare parcel on flint clay and are purchased from organic growers. The vines are ninety years old, and the reported yield is twenty-five hectolitres per hectare. Fermentation and ageing last eight months in a Burgundy barrel.
Les Capriades 2018 Méthode Ancestrale Menu Pineau
Menu Pineau forms this white sparkling wine from the Loire, made by the ancestral method. The fruit was harvested on September fifteenth and sixteenth, with a yield of fifty hectolitres per hectare. Fermentation began spontaneously in tank and finished in bottle. No additives were used, and the wine was bottled without filtration. Bright acidity and mineral character accompany its dry pétillant style.
Clos du Tue-Boeuf 2020 Le Brin de Chèvre
Citrus, freshness and minerality are present in a clean, precise profile with a saline finish. Menu Pineau comes from a one-and-a-half-hectare parcel planted with vines between sixty-five and eighty years old. Maturation lasts twelve months in Burgundy barrels. The Brin de Chèvre site lies on the Monthou plateau, where its soils are clay and flint; the wine carries the Vin de France designation.
