Grechetto
Grechetto
Tenuta di Valgiano 2016 Palistorti Bianco Toscana IGT
Italian White
Vermentino accounts for half of the blend, joined by eighteen percent Trebbiano, sixteen percent Malvasia and sixteen percent Grechetto. Trebbiano spends three days on its skins, while a small portion of Vermentino ferments spontaneously in barrique and the rest remains in stainless steel at low temperature. Maturation lasts six months in the same vessels. Peach and citrus accompany freshness and a saline finish.
Antonelli San Marco 2024 Montefalco Grechetto DOC
Italian White
Made entirely from Grechetto, grapes hand-picked in September undergo soft pressing, cold static clarification and fermentation in stainless steel. Maturation continues in tank with extended lees contact before bottling. The colour is deep straw yellow; citrus, peach, almond and hawthorn appear with fresh, fruity and floral character. The palate has good structure and pleasant freshness.
Argillae 2023 Orvieto Superiore
Italian White
Bright straw-yellow colour accompanies yellow flowers, citrus and tropical fruit. The palate is broad, complex, fruity and persistent, with mineral notes, refreshing acidity and a fresh finish. Grechetto, Procanico, Malvasia, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc form the blend. Fermentation and four to five months of ageing take place in stainless steel, followed by one month of bottle ageing.
Malgiacca 2021 Bianco Toscana IGT
Italian White
The blend is approximately half Trebbiano, with fifteen percent each of Vermentino and Malvasia; Grechetto, Moscato and other varieties make up the balance. Half the fruit is pressed pneumatically and half in a basket press. Fermentation takes place naturally in stainless steel without temperature control, followed by malolactic fermentation and three months on lees. Floral, fresh, mineral and savoury notes define the profile.
