Albarossa

Delicate ruby-red colour accompanies red fruit, sweet spice, violet and rosehip. The palate is energetic and lively, shaped by silky tannins. The blend includes Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Freisa, Albarossa, Slarina and Chatus. Grapes are picked by hand and sorted manually. Each block ferments separately for about twenty days. Maturation lasts approximately four to six months, mainly in stainless steel.

Medium-bodied and perfumed, the wine has a soft, harmonious palate with fresh acidity and a clean finish. It is made entirely from Albarossa and matured for twenty-six months in ceramic amphora. The wine comes from Piedmont's Alto Monferrato, and the cuvée name means 'toy' in the local dialect. Alcohol is thirteen and a half percent, and production totals nine hundred bottles.
