Medoc

Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot form this red Médoc blend. The palate is powerful, with acidity and tannins held in balance. The La Caussade property is based at Bégadan and the wine is associated with Uni Médoc. The estate spans eleven hectares and was cultivated by the Billa family for five generations. Violet, blueberry, cassis, raspberry, liquorice, vanilla and toast appear in a ripe-fruit profile, with grey pepper and caramel also present. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with fine tannins, freshness, mineral notes and a delicate finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot make up the blend. The vineyard follows sustainable farming practices in the Médoc.

Blackcurrant, redcurrant, green tobacco, cedar and spring flowers form the aromatic profile. The palate is medium-bodied, supple and harmonious, with light tannins, a round, balanced texture and a fresh finish. The blend is seventy percent Merlot, twenty-five percent Cabernet Sauvignon and five percent Cabernet Franc. Raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, liquorice, nutmeg and dried almond provide further detail.

Ruby colour has a thin orange rim. Blueberry, violet and anise are present. The palate has fresh acidity, ripe tannins, sweet-and-sour character, forest floor and leather. Dark colour, spice, menthol, vanilla, black fruit and discreet tertiary notes are also present. Tannins are polished, and the finish is fresh. This red wine comes from the Medoc appellation in Bordeaux.
