Gualtallary
Gualtallary
Luca 2018 Pinot Noir
High-altitude Pinot Noir with wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry at the centre, shaded by orange peel, cola root, subtle leather and savoury spice. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity, fine structure and a composed, gently earthy finish. Twelve months in French oak adds polish and texture without overwhelming the fruit, preserving the wine’s energetic, elegant character.
Finca Sophenia 2020 Altosur Red Blend
Blackberry and black plum sit with tobacco, espresso, dark cocoa and cassis acidity in a compact palate with gritty tannins. The blend is fifty percent Malbec, forty percent Cabernet Sauvignon and ten percent Syrah. Fruit comes from Gualtallary in the Uco Valley at about 1,200 metres. Each variety ferments separately in stainless steel before three to four months of contact with French oak.
El Gran Enemigo 2020 Gualtallary Cabernet Franc
Deep purple colour has red highlights. Sweet spice, black pepper, eucalyptus and thyme appear with ripe black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, chocolate and vanilla. The taste is complex, with sweet impact, structured tannins and a long, persistent finish. The blend is eighty-five percent Cabernet Franc and fifteen percent Malbec, grown on deep, calcareous and rocky soil at about 1,470 metres in Gualtallary.
Catena Zapata 2015 Adrianna Vineyard White Bones Chardonnay
Chardonnay comes from selected rows in Block One at approximately 1,400 metres, where shallow soils include calcareous marine fossils, sand and stone. Lively citrus and white stone fruit are present. The palate is voluptuous, with pear, apple and subtle floral and mineral notes, while the finish is long, clean and strongly mineral. Fermentation in barriques lasts forty-five days, followed by French-oak ageing.
Catena Zapata 2017 Adrianna Vineyard River Stones Malbec
Blackberry, cassis, violet and crushed stone lead a dark, highly aromatic profile, with wet earth and subtle spice adding depth. The palate is full and mouthfilling but remains fresh, its concentrated fruit shaped by integrated acidity and ultra-fine tannins. A stony, mineral texture gives the wine precision through a long finish, where black fruit, flowers and a savoury granitic note gradually return.
El Enemigo 2015 Cabernet Franc
Cassis, ripe currant and raspberry lead, with violet, cedar, clove, eucalyptus and black pepper adding lift. The palate is fresh and elegant, combining juicy red fruit, velvety tannins and a mineral line through a persistent finish. Give it a brief decant and serve with grilled game, roast lamb or charred vegetables.
Luca 2022 Chardonnay G Lot
A polished Chardonnay with lemon zest, lime and green fruit layered over apricot, white flowers and a restrained touch of vanilla. The palate is creamy yet energetic, with firm acidity and a chalky mineral line bringing clarity to the ripe fruit and subtle baking spice. Balanced oak adds texture without obscuring the freshness, carrying the wine to a focused, gently savoury finish.
Gran Enemigo 2017 Gualtallary Cabernet Franc
Blackberry and black cherry lead with violet, thyme and eucalyptus. The palate is concentrated yet energetic, layering red plum and juicy cherry over chalky tannins and lively acidity. Sweet spice, black pepper and a subtle leafy note add savoury definition without hardening the fruit. The finish is long and mineral, leaving graphite, herbs, dark fruit and finely drawn tannin.
El Enemigo 2018 Malbec Mendoza
A concentrated Malbec built around black plum, blackberry and black cherry, with violet, graphite and wild-herb detail bringing a savoury edge. A small portion of Cabernet Franc adds lift and structure. The palate is medium to full-bodied, dense yet fresh, with chalky tannins, finely judged oak and a persistent mineral finish. Decanting will let the darker fruit and aromatic detail open fully.
Catena Zapata 2018 Adrianna White Stones
From just 27 rows of a high-altitude parcel in Gualtallary, this Chardonnay is shaped by white-stone alluvial soils, cool nights and naturally low yields. Lime, orange blossom and restrained orchard fruit meet a precise mineral line, brisk acidity and a long, stony finish. Fermented in French oak with partial malolactic conversion, then aged 12-16 months in seasoned barrels, it remains finely textured rather than overtly oaky. Unfined and unfiltered.
