Redcurrant and mixed berries lead, followed by black cherry, liquorice, menthol and white pepper. The palate is round, full-bodied and firmly structured, with dark plum, black raspberry and sweet spice supported by confident tannins. A savoury thread of dried herbs and earth carries the powerful fruit into a long, composed finish.
Pierre Amadieu 2021 Les Hautes Rives Cairanne
French Red
Hand-picked Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah come from hillside vines rooted in light marl and pebbles above the Aygues. Fermentation lasts fourteen days in stainless steel vats and concrete tanks, with unballasting and pumping over. Ageing takes place entirely in tank. The red wine is full-flavoured and smooth, with balance and freshness, and its stated cellar potential is five years.

French White
White flowers, nectarine, orange peel and honey appear in a velvety white. White-fruit flavours, salinity and freshness accompany a rich profile. The blend includes Clairette Blanche, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, Bourboulenc, Marsanne and Vermentino. Grapes are hand harvested, and the farming is organic. Most fermentation and ageing take place in concrete, with a smaller portion using 600-litre oak vessels.

Crushed raspberry, ripe cherry and peppermint give the nose an immediate lift. The palate is smooth, juicy and fresh, with generous red fruit meeting darker spice and gentle structure. Fine tannins, bright acidity and a savoury herbal note keep the fruit precise, finishing clean and energetic rather than heavy.
