Bourgogne Aligoté
Domaine Chevrot 2016 Bourgogne Aligoté Cuvée des Quatre Terroirs
Bright gold in colour, with rich vanilla and exotic orchard-fruit aromas. The palate is floral and concentrated, with semi-tropical fruit, racy acidity, generous youthful fruit and balanced volume. Most vines are at least forty years old. The wine sees no wood ageing. Ripe lemon, white peach, wet stone, crushed herbs, salinity and hazelnut are also present.
Domaine Naudin-Ferrand 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté
Aligoté comes from parcels in Magny-lès-Villers and Villers-la-Faye, on shallow, gently sloping clay-limestone soils with good sun exposure. Grapes are harvested by hand and pressed directly. Fermentation takes place in enamelled or stainless-steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, followed by full malolactic conversion and several months on the lees. The wine is lightly filtered and bottled by gravity.
Domaine Georges Glantenay 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté Vieilles Vignes
Citrus and white flowers accompany fullness and taut acidity on the palate. Aligoté from Burgundy is harvested by hand from vines averaging forty-five years of age. Fermentation and ageing take place in oak. Production amounted to 1,800 bottles for this release. This dry white comes from Bourgogne AOP and contains twelve and a half percent alcohol by volume.
Bouchard Père & Fils 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté
Lemon, green apple and white flowers define the aromatic profile. The palate is straightforward and airy, with lively acidity and a fresh finish. Aligoté receives gentle pressing and gravity handling; fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks. The fruit comes from plots farmed under strict environmental standards, with herbicides excluded and biodiversity supported through hedgerows and grassy strips. The finished wine contains thirteen percent alcohol.
Cyprien Arlaud 2023 Scritch Bourgogne Aligoté
White fruit, pear and fresh vegetal notes meet delicate oak and mineral character. The palate is round and full, with freshness, mineral tension and a long, spicy, saline finish. Aligoté comes from 45-year-old vines on calcareous soils and is harvested by hand. Whole clusters are pressed slowly, fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel, and the wine remains in steel for maturation.
Jean-Claude Ramonet 2019 Bourgogne Aligoté
Pale straw in colour, this Aligoté offers spicy aromas with lime, vanilla and white fruit. Apple and lemon accompany pure fruit on a bone-dry palate, with focused minerality, a fleshy middle and bright acidity. Saline notes are also present. The structure is sharp and lively, with substance and balance, and the wine contains twelve and a half percent alcohol.
Jean-Claude Ramonet 2018 Bourgogne Aligoté
Lemon thistle, river stone and crunchy pear appear over a layer of downy lees. A reductive thread runs through the profile. The finish brings wild meadow grass and ample flake salt. Aligoté comes from vines planted in nineteen fifty-six and nineteen sixty-three. The wine is intense yet restrained, with twelve and a half percent alcohol. Its slender frame combines lightness with complexity.
Maison en Belles Lies 2021 Bourgogne Aligoté
Aligoté from Saint-Aubin grows on white limestone soils. Whole clusters are pressed directly and cold-settled for three days. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by fifteen months of maturation, thirty percent in tank and seventy percent in 350-litre barrels. The white wine is unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulphur added before bottling.
Domaine Chanterêves 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté Miarlons du Bas
Citrus, lemon, acacia, white flowers, cold stone and hazelnut accompany a lively, vigorous character, good length and iodine notes. Old vines grow on a steep limestone slope between Les Monts de Fussey and Mainbey. After destemming and a six-hour press, native-yeast fermentation precedes twelve months in oak casks. Both the hillside site and oak ageing are part of this cuvée.
Laurent Dufouleur 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté
Lime, green apple and lemon lead with a chalky mineral edge and a quiet note of white almond. Fresh acidity runs cleanly through the medium-bodied palate, giving the fruit a taut, tangy shape while the texture remains composed. The finish is dry, precise and gently nutty rather than austere. Serve well chilled as an aperitif, or pair with oysters, grilled white fish, goat cheese or a simple herb omelette.
Arlaud 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté
Peach, lemon and crisp orchard fruit lead, with chamomile, honey and fresh hazelnut adding quiet complexity. The palate is medium-bodied and rounded, carrying a juicy citrus core through lively acidity to a clear mineral finish. Serve chilled with shellfish, roast fish, young cheeses or simply prepared vegetable dishes.
Mark Haisma 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté
Meyer lemon, nectarine and honeysuckle open with a cool, stony lift. The palate is refined and textural, carrying ripe citrus and orchard fruit through a clean mineral frame. There is enough breadth to feel generous, but the finish remains composed, precise and quietly energetic. A polished white for shellfish, roast chicken or firm Alpine cheese.
