Dark cherry and cassis are joined by cedar, tobacco and a hint of coffee. This Cabernet blend has a smooth, generous texture, with fine tannins and fresh acidity giving shape to its richness. Subtle leather and spice add a savoury edge, while the long finish stays refined and mouthwatering.

About Tenuta San Guido
Tenuta San Guido stretches across 2,500 hectares of coastal Maremma, from the wooded hills towards the sea at Bolgheri. In 1944, Mario Incisa della Rocchetta planted just over a hectare of Cabernet Sauvignon at Castiglioncello, inspired by the gravelly soils of Bordeaux’s Graves. The resulting wine, Sassicaia, was kept for private use until its first commercial vintage in 1968. Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta and winemaker Giacomo Tachis helped develop the wine for that wider audience.
Guidalberto followed with the 2000 harvest, and Le Difese in 2002. Beyond the vineyards, the estate is home to thoroughbred horses and the Padule di Bolgheri wildlife refuge.
