About Wolf Blass
German-born Wolfgang Blass trained in winemaking in Europe before moving to South Australia’s Barossa Valley in 1961. He established Wolf Blass Wines in 1966, creating the foundation of the Australian brand that continues under his name. Blending was central to his training and early work, while the contemporary portfolio draws fruit from several Australian regions. The winery’s Barossa base is part of its identity, but not every Wolf Blass wine carries a Barossa appellation. Historic competition wins are documented by the Barossa regional body, yet they are not used here as proof of current quality. Wolf Blass remains an Australian brand rooted in the Barossa and the winery established by Wolfgang Blass in 1966.
