Blackberry, blackcurrant, spice, pepper and leather accompany a deep ruby colour. The palate is smooth and viscous, with acidity and alcohol in balance. The blend combines Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta. A second fermentation takes place on Amarone lees. Ageing includes six months in tank, eighteen months in French Allier tonneaux and six months in bottle.

About Zenato
Sergio Zenato and Carla Prospero began their family winery in 1960 at San Benedetto di Lugana, initially concentrating on the potential of native Trebbiano di Lugana. The work later expanded from Lake Garda into Valpolicella, pairing Lugana whites with reds based on local grapes such as Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta. Today their children carry the project forward: Alberto oversees production from vineyard to bottle, while Nadia leads sales and marketing. Nearly one hundred hectares across Lugana, Valpolicella and Bolgheri give the family a broad but place-focused estate portfolio.
