Straw yellow with bright green hues, the wine combines dried apple, lemon, stone and honeysuckle. The medium-bodied palate is firm and fresh, with chalk undertones and a flavorful finish. Viura, Malvasía, Garnacha Blanca, Tempranillo Blanco, Maturana Blanca and Turruntés form the blend. Fruit is harvested by hand, and the wine matures for six months in barrel.

About Izadi
Bodegas Izadi began in 1987 when Gonzalo Antón and a circle of friends and entrepreneurs from Vitoria created a new winery in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Villabuena de Álava was a natural base, both for its vineyards and for the family's existing ties to local viticulture. Antón's restaurant background shaped the idea of making wines to accompany food.
His son Lalo joined the business in 2000. The winery draws on old, often goblet-trained vineyards around Villabuena, Samaniego and Ábalos, with a focus on native Rioja varieties.
