Medici Ermete 2020 Phermento Lambrusco di Sorbara

Lambrusco di Sorbara is refermented in the bottle. The wine is lightly sparkling and dry. Red berry, violet, citrus and bread-dough aromas accompany raspberry, grapefruit and ginger, with crisp acidity. The colour is bright pink and the bubbles are fine and persistent. The fruit comes from sandy soils around Soliera in Modena, and the wine is finished with a crown cap.

About Medici Ermete
Medici Ermete traces its story to 1890, when Remigio Medici founded a wine business in Emilia-Romagna; the company took the name of his son Ermete. In 1988, the fourth generation replanted vineyards and reduced yields. Concerto, the family’s single-vineyard Lambrusco, followed in 1993.
With the fifth generation now involved, the family tends about eighty organically farmed hectares across five estates. Its Lambruscos include wines fermented in tanks and others fermented in bottle.
