Envínate 2021 Táganan Tinto Tenerife
$76.99
Red fruits include sour cherry and cranberry, joined by blackcurrant, wildflowers, potpourri, liquorice, pepper, petrichor, smoke and volcanic mineral character. The palate is saline, savoury and richly flavoured, with firm but not grippy tannins and a long, tangy finish. Mixed red grapes from Taganana parcels ferment separately in concrete or plastic vats, then mature in neutral oak for eleven months.

About Envinate
Envínate brings together Roberto Santana, Alfonso Torrente, Laura Ramos and José Martínez, four winemakers who met while studying oenology near Alicante. In 2008 they acquired a small parcel in Ribeira Sacra, building their project around overlooked old vineyards.
They now work in Ribeira Sacra, Tenerife, Almansa and Manchuela, exploring local grapes across these different parts of Spain. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with native yeasts, with old barrels and concrete among the vessels used in the cellar.
