Black fruit, earthy notes and spice accompany a delicate, light palate with marked acidity. Pinot Noir and a small proportion of Syrah come from two young plots on volcanic soils at about four hundred and seventy metres. Whole bunches undergo carbonic maceration for one month in old barrels with indigenous yeasts. The wine then spends twelve months on fine lees in oak vats.

About Le Coste
Gian Marco Antonuzi and Clémentine Bouvéron began Le Coste in 2004 with three hectares of long-abandoned vineyard and olive land near Gradoli. The farm overlooks Lake Bolsena in Alta Tuscia, where light, mineral-rich volcanic tuff drains freely beneath the vines. Certified-organic farming follows natural and biodynamic principles, with vines growing among olives, fruit trees, grains, legumes and woodland.
Vineyard and farm tasks are largely manual, including a harvest gathered into small cases. Ambient yeasts drive fermentation, while added sulphur, fining and filtration are left aside. More than twenty cuvées explore the estate's local grapes and changing seasons through still, skin-contact and gently sparkling forms.
