Bourbon-cask maturation frames an exceptionally peated Islay malt with bonfire smoke, iodine and seaweed. Ash, oak and a measured sweetness follow on the palate, with salty coastal notes and a dry, very long finish. Bottled at cask strength without colouring or chill filtration, it carries formidable intensity but rewards a few drops of water. Serve neat, with water alongside.
