Ex-bourbon whisky and a heart of dark sherry-cask spirit create a brooding Islay profile. Dark chocolate, treacle toffee and coffee meet earthy smoke, distant bonfires and oaky spice, with orange and dried fruit bringing controlled sweetness. The palate is rich and savoury, finishing with lingering peat and sherry depth. Serve neat, adding a few drops of water to open the aromatics.
